Environmental Responsibility

Since June of 2007, Acos Vic has operated with a Station of Handling of Effluents entirely automated. The equipment processes the effluents arising from raw material pickling – process which treats the laminated steel before cold drawing process. The Station of handling analyzes this material continuously and then, indicates and adds the necessary amounts of reagents. After, a tank of decanting sets aside the solid residue, which is pressed to remove the humidity, generating the substances that will be incinerated by a qualified and licensed company. The liquid that resulted of the handling is filtered and reused at Vic, in its own industrial process.

Other industrial residues follow strict procedures, being regulated by proper laws. Acos Vic keeps partnership with entities endorsed by Cetesb through the Cadris , approval certification to industrial effluent destination. These documents authorize such entities to develop the necessary treatment and recycling of the residues. Solid residues from Vic Station of Handling of Effluent, equipment of individual protection, oil metal drums, hand towels and light bulbs, are all sent to those authorized entities.
