New equipment

Aços Vic has just incorporated a new continuos furnace for heat treatment of steel bars and tubes with capacity of 1.500 kg/hour.

The equipment works with an atmosphere of N2 and H2 obtaining normalization, annealing and aging with total exemption from rusting/oxidation and extremely low descarburization.

Due to the good results obtained with the bars, it was also eliminated the chemical pickling in the wire rod roll installing a very modern imported equipment of jet shot reaching this way a better quality of  drawn steel, increase of production resulting in increase of productivity and elimination of chemical process environmentally undesirable.
